Scenic City Veterinary Services is a mobile veterinary practice. We provide veterinary services for both SMALL and LARGE animal in the Soddy Daisy, Dayton, Pikeville, Dunlap, Hixson, Jasper, Chattanooga, Signal Mountain, Red Bank, and surrounding areas. Your pet(s) will receive the full attention of our highly trained doctor(s) and a veterinary assistant(s) at your home without the inconvenience of having to “round’em” up and “bring’em” in. This can be a big benefit whether you have horses, multiple barn cats, large dogs and small cars, or just a little dog that hates to travel.
We have a fully equipped ambulatory truck that allows us to provide onsite diagnostics and large range of veterinary services. We have 2 fully equipped veterinary hospitals that we work hand in hand with for access to specialized services such as Ultrasounds, Laser Therapy, Radiographs, Coag Panels, and fully stocked laboratories to be able to provide more immediate results for critical cases.
Though both of our ambulatory doctors work at our fully equipped small animal hospitals, they have a special interest in horses and farm animals and truly enjoy the freedom that being out in the neighborhood provides. They strive to answer any questions that you might have and endeavor to educate clients on the care and wellbeing of their animals. Our veterinary team will expertly examine your pet and deliver answers to any questions you may have.
Our mobile pharmacy can immediately provide you with the pet meds required or connect you to our affiliated hospital/pharmacy that will quickly delivery the medications to your front door.
Please don’t hesitate to call if you have any questions regarding our services or if you would like to schedule an appointment to have us come out. We look forward to providing quality veterinary services to you and your community at a reasonable prices.

Dr. John English
Dr. English has loved animals for as long as he can remember and knew early on that he wanted to become a veterinarian. He earned his Animal Science degree from UT-Martin and went on to receive his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Mississippi State University in 1990.
After graduating, Dr. English started his career in a mixed-animal practice in Dyersburg, TN. A few years later, he opened Animal Care Hospital in Ripley, TN, and eventually followed his dream of opening English Veterinary Care in Alamo, TN. He still enjoys the variety of being a mixed-animal veterinarian — especially making farm calls and getting to spend time outdoors with his patients.
Dr. English and his wife, Judy, have been married for 35 years. They recently traded West Tennessee for life in the mountains, where they enjoy the slower pace, beautiful scenery, and time with family. Dr. English loves music, being active in his local church, and spending time with their three children — Payton, Bradley, and Allie.
